- This contribution supports the collection and analysis of sediment and soil cores from a pond on SGang Gwaay (Anthony Island). Analysis will trace past seabird populations on SGang Gwaay Island to help determine if seabird dynamics can be paralleled with climate change patterns, the early human settlements of the Haida, and the 19th century introduction of invasive Sitka deer (Odocoileus hemionus sitkensis).

- Cette contribution soutient la collecte et l’analyse de carottes de sédiments et de sol provenant d’un étang de SGang Gwaay (île Anthony). L’analyse permettra de retracer les anciennes populations d’oiseaux marins sur l’île de SGang Gwaay afin de déterminer si la dynamique des oiseaux marins peut être mise en parallèle avec les modèles de changement climatique, l’établissement des premiers Haïdas et l’introduction au XIXe siècle du cerf de Sitka (Odocoileus hemionus sitkensis), une espèce envahissante.
