    The overarching objective of the Union Training and Innovation Program aims to strengthen apprenticeship training systems to better support a skilled, inclusive, certified and productive trades workforce by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of training provided. .The streams have the following specific objectives: .Stream 1 (Equipment) will increase investment in training equipment and materials for higher quality training, leading to a more skilled and productive trade workforce. .Stream 2 (Innovation in Apprenticeship) will support innovation and enhanced partnerships to address long-standing and complex challenges that limit apprenticeship outcomes. .Stream 3 (Women in Construction Fund [WCF]) will support projects that expand or replicate successful models to encourage more women to participate and succeed in apprenticeship and the skilled trades. Stream 4 (Trades Exploration and Experience Program) will support projects that encourage Canadians to explore, prepare for, participate and succeed in apprenticeship and skilled trades careers. This stream is limited to participants who are not registered apprentices..

    Les volets comptent les objectifs particuliers suivants : .Le volet 1 (équipement) servira à accroître les investissements pour l’acquisition d’équipement et de matériel de formation pour offrir de la formation de meilleure qualité, menant ainsi à une main-d’oeuvre qualifiée et productive dans les métiers spécialisés. .Le volet 2 (innovation dans la formation d’apprenti) favorisera l’innovation et de meilleurs partenariats pour résoudre des défis complexes de longue date qui entravent les résultats de l’apprentissage. .Le volet 3 (Fonds pour les femmes en construction [FFC]) appuiera les projets qui élargissent ou reproduisent des modèles efficaces afin d’encourager plus de femmes à participer à la formation d’apprenti et à réussir dans les métiers spécialisés. .Le volet 4 (Programme pour l’exploration et l’expérience des métiers) appuiera des projets qui encouragent les Canadiens à explorer les carrières dans les métiers spécialisés, à se préparer à suivre une formation d’apprenti, à réussir leur formation et à réussir une carrière dans les métiers spécialisés.
