    The objectives of the Program are to; support the development and utilization of effective approaches to address social issues and challenges; develop, exchange and apply knowledge, tools and resources that address social needs of individuals, families and communities; foster partnerships and networks to address existing and emerging social issues; recognize and support the ability of not-for-profit organizations to identify and address social development priorities; and, recognize and promote community engagement initiatives (e.g. volunteerism, corporate social responsibility, innovation, partnerships, coalitions) that mobilize community assets and develop capacities and resources for action.

    Les objectifs du programme sont les suivants; appuyer l’élaboration et l’utilisation d’approches efficaces en vue d’aborder les problèmes et les défis d’ordre social; développer, mettre en commun et appliquer les connaissances, les outils et les ressources permettant de répondre aux besoins des personnes, des familles et des collectivités sur le plan social; encourager l’établissement de partenariats et de réseaux en vue d’aborder les enjeux sociaux actuels et émergents; recnnaître et appuyer la capacité des organismes sans but lucratif à déterminer les priorités en matière de développement social et à y répondre; et, reconnaître et promouvoir les initiatives de participation communautaire (p. ex. bénévolat, responsabilité sociale d’entreprise, innovation, partenariats, coalitions) qui permettent de tirer parti des biens communautaires et de développer les capacités et les ressources pour aller de l’avant.
