- This project entails upgrades to the Long Pond Breakwater that separates Conception Bay from Long Pond - the home of the Inner Harbour, Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club, Long Pond Harbour Authority, Community Park, and downtown business district, as well as private properties. Breakwater upgrades included in this project have been designed to withstand a 100-year storm with sea level rise considerations by the year 2100. The breakwater has been divided into segments, to ensure each segment is best constructed to withstand the unique wave action and offshore conditions observed in the Coastal Engineering Assessment which took place during 2022. Considerations were also made to ensure the asset can tolerate, and projected conditions for the next 75 years.

- Ce projet prévoit la modernisation du brise-lames de Long Pond qui sépare la baie de la Conception de Long Pond, où se trouvent l'arrière-port, le Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club, l'autorité portuaire de Long Pond, le parc Community et le quartier des affaires du centre-ville, ainsi que des propriétés privées. Les améliorations apportées au brise-lames dans le cadre de ce projet ont été conçues pour résister à une tempête centennale, en tenant compte de l'élévation du niveau de la mer d'ici à 2100. Le brise-lames a été divisé en segments, afin de s'assurer que chaque segment est construit au mieux pour résister à l'action unique des vagues et aux conditions au large observées dans l'évaluation de l'ingénierie côtière qui a eu lieu au cours de l'année 2022. Des considérations ont également été prises en compte pour s'assurer que l'actif puisse tolérer les conditions prévues pour les 75 prochaines années.
