    The expected outcomes of this project will include increasing The Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada's ability to identify the resources needed to respond to emergencies and deploy these resources in an efficient manner. They will also develop guidance documents which outline the operational procedures in responding to large-scale emergencies across Canada within their organization, which will reflect the diverse needs and characteristics of communities. This project also aims to have responders ready for possible rapid deployment of personnel for the 2024 Wildfire Season. Overall, the project will use a whole of community approach to develop, maintain, and improve preparedness, response and recovery for all-hazards.

    Les résultats attendus de ce projet sont l'amélioration de la capacité de l'Association canadienne des volontaires en recherche et sauvetage à identifier les ressources nécessaires pour répondre aux situations d'urgence et à déployer ces ressources de manière efficace. Elle élaborera également des documents d'orientation décrivant les procédures opérationnelles à suivre pour répondre à des situations d'urgence de grande ampleur dans tout le Canada au sein de son organisation, qui refléteront les divers besoins et caractéristiques des communautés. Ce projet vise également à préparer les intervenants à un éventuel déploiement rapide de personnel pour la saison des feux de forêt de 2024. Dans l'ensemble, le projet utilisera une approche communautaire globale pour développer, maintenir et améliorer la préparation, la réponse et le rétablissement pour tous les risques.

    The purpose of this amendment is to increase the agreement value from $4,468,139.20 to $4,625,463.36. This increase to the agreement's value will advance The Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada's preparedness pilot that will support increased readiness and a greater range of civilian response capabilities to support activities during the 2024 event season.
