- This project will advance novel high value NL mushroom production through an organic certified and permaculture production lens. Three different mushroom feed stocks (10,000m2) will be explored for: 1) improved crop production density to 75% vs 25% previously, and 2) identify selected bioactive compounds vs traditional methods of production. In parallel, apiculture will be established to determine the behavior and efficacy of honey bees feeding on the surface metabolite produced by the blewit.

- Ce projet permettra de faire progresser la production de nouveaux champignons à haute valeur ajoutée dans le cadre d’une production certifiée biologique et en permaculture. Trois stocks de champignons différents (10 000 m2) seront étudiés pour : 1) améliorer la densité de production des cultures à 75 % contre 25 % auparavant, et 2) identifier des composés bioactifs sélectionnés par rapport aux méthodes de production traditionnelles. En parallèle, une apiculture sera mise en place pour déterminer le comportement et l’efficacité des abeilles mellifères qui se nourrissent du métabolite de surface produit par le blewit.
