- This project will investigate the feasibility of employing various Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) housing designs that will increase the overall efficiency of a nominal VAWT design. Based on the already proven concept of increasing Vertical Axis Wind Turbine efficiency through the use of “wind deflection technology”, the feasibility study will provide a baseline of knowledge for collecting wind test data, as well as narrow the parameters of the housing designs for future development.

- Ce projet étudiera la faisabilité de l’utilisation de différentes conceptions de logements d’éoliennes à axe vertical (VAWT) qui augmenteront l’efficacité globale d’une conception VAWT nominale. Basée sur le concept déjà éprouvé de l’augmentation de l’efficacité des éoliennes à axe vertical par l’utilisation de la «technologie de déflexion du vent», l’étude de faisabilité fournira une base de connaissances pour la collecte de données d’essais de vent, ainsi qu’une limitation des paramètres des conceptions de logement pour un développement futur.
