- This is the first phase (Phase 1) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders; second phase (Phase 2) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of contract in Phase Two the pre-qualification list will be terminated, no additional contracts will be awarded. The scope of work for this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the reconstruction of the launchway at Arnold’s Cove, NL. In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: .1 Complete removal and disposal of the existing launchway and related items. All cribwork, including any which may have settled into the harbour bottom, to be completely removed. .2 Removal of existing armour stone and asphalt to facilitate new work. Reinstall and reshape existing amour stone to tie into new work. .3 Excavation of existing ground to facilitate placement of the new launchway, including cribseat excavation for placement of cribwork. .4 Construction of a new 4.88m wide x 31.255m long launchway consisting of treated timber cribwork, reinforced concrete pre-cast slabs, slab-on-grade, and treated dimension timber. .5 Supply and installation of rock fill, granulars, geotextile, and filter stone. .6 If required, to facilitate new work, the existing sanitary sewer line shall be temporarily disconnected, reconnected and/or replaced with new materials (including protective pipe), and rerouted as required. .7 Asphalt repair/patching as required. The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within (12) weeks from the date of notification and acceptance of the offer.

- Voici la première phase (phase 1) d’un concours à deux volets. La phase 1 évaluera les compétences de tous les soumissionnaires et la phase 2 invitera les soumissionnaires retenus à la phase 1 à transmettre une soumission financière pour le projet d’après les devis et les dessins. Une fois le contrat attribué au terme de la phase 2, la liste des soumissionnaires présélectionnés sera supprimée et aucun autre contrat ne sera attribué. La portée des travaux du présent projet consiste à fournir l’ensemble des installations, de la main-d’œuvre, du matériel et des matériaux nécessaires à la reconstruction de la rampe de mise à l’eau à Arnold’s Cove (T.-N.-L.). Dans l’ensemble, les travaux à réaliser dans le cadre du présent contrat comprennent, sans toutefois s’y limiter, ce qui suit : .1 Enlèvement complet et élimination de la rampe de mise à l’eau existante et des éléments connexes. L’encaissement, y compris les parties qui pourraient s’être enfoncées dans le fond marin, doit être complètement retiré. .2 Enlèvement de la pierre de carapace et de l’asphalte existants pour faciliter l’exécution des travaux. Réinstaller et replacer la pierre de carapace existante pour l’intégrer au nouvel ouvrage. .3 Excavation du sol existant pour faciliter la mise en place de la nouvelle rampe de mise à l’eau, y compris l’excavation de l’encaissement pour faciliter la mise en place des caissons. .4 Construction d’une nouvelle rampe de mise à l’eau de 4,88 m de largeur sur 31,255 m de longueur composée de caissons en bois traité, de dalles préfabriquées en béton armé, de dalles sur terre plein et de bois d’échantillon traité. .5 Fourniture et installation d’un remblai de pierre, de granulats, de géotextile et de roches de filtration. .6 Si nécessaire, pour faciliter l’exécution des travaux, la conduite d’égout sanitaire doit être temporairement déconnectée, reconnectée et/ou remplacée par de nouveaux matériaux (y compris le tuyau de protection). Si nécessaire, en modifier le tracé. .7 Réparation de l’asphalte, au besoin. L’entrepreneur doit exécuter et terminer les travaux dans les (12) semaines suivant la date de l'avis d'acceptation de l'offre.
