# NL Ledger

> Where Newfoundland and Labrador's public money goes. 161,865 public spending records (provincial contract awards, minister and MHA expenses, public sector pay over $100,000, department and program spending, federal contracts, grants and transfers in the province, and municipal payments), each linked to the government file and page or row it came from. A prototype: the figures were gathered and combined by automated scripts and have not been independently vetted.

The best way for an AI assistant to use the records is the read-only MCP server at https://nlledger.ca/mcp (streamable HTTP, no authentication). Cite source_url for every figure. A flagged pattern is a question, not a finding of wrongdoing.
